National Horse Show

Sunday, most of us chill at home, some work their ass off, and others like me go for an outing with family. Well, it was my mom's suggestion to go for the National Horse Show in Penang Turf Club.


Being a good boy, I woke up very early in the morning at 10am even though our planned departure time was 11am! See, how punctual I am! (Besides the fact that I was afraid my mom wouldn't wake me up so I could sleep longer. She has the tendency of doing that.) After eating some boring char bee hoon as my breakfast, we went off to the venue. It was just like 5 minutes journey from my house. But when we arrived, we saw a hell lots of cars! So we parked somewhere else and walked up to the venue. You couldn't never missed the place. You know you're around the corner when the smell of shit reach your nose. LOL! The first "station" was the breed display. To be honest, the display was the most attractive in the event itself. Some of the horses there were sooooo emo, being contained in such a small area. Most of the emo ones are white. The brown ones were very friendly, they let you touch them, feed them and I noticed even horses have different hairstyle! haha~~ My personal favourite was Johnny, a standardbred gelding (castrated male horse). He is brown in colour with white patches on his body. I'll let the pictures to the talking!

Then, after that we went on to the main arena where there were magic shows and snake show going on. They weren't that interesting to me anyways. And my brother was like so passive, not getting interested to touch the snake when the trainer was offering it to the circle of spectators. Or maybe, he's afraid! LOL! Then further ahead was the pony ride. Don't get me started on this. We were there one hour after the event started, which was 10am, but the eff-ing pony ride already had a queue which probably consists of 70 people. And they have the bloody patience to wait under the eff-ing hot sun! DAMN RESPECT! So, my brother missed the chance to get on the pony ride, but surprisingly he wasn't expecting this at all. I would be all excited about this if I was in his age.

In this kind of event, there is always a place for souvenir booths. And the management was smart enough to put all the fans in that place to attract people in during the hot day! What a tactic to suck the money out of your pocket!

We heard of the horse carriage, so we went to check it out. @!$#%@#%@#$#@. We already spent about an hour in the earlier events and when we reach the carriage place, it was closed for lunch!!!!!! #@%#$@%#@% . Surprisingly, this was what got my bro disappointed. LOL!
